Roman Lock Fittings

One of the most common finds from the Roman period in our region are keys. Usually made of iron, but often in bronze, they are, for the most part, keys to the locks of caskets. They vary greatly from huge iron monsters to tiny keys that are worn as rings. The ones featured here are a good cross-section.
