The original idea
To make more UK family and local history material available free on line and encourage others to do the same.
The reality
I build clean, simple and affordable websites at home and abroad, mainly for small, non-commercial organisations such as family and local history groups, but also arts and crafts, small companies, cultural and educational groups and the general public who have little or no experience in design and coding.
How do you do it?
I can work to your vision of how a site should look or create a site from my own ideas.
Almost anything is possible. Pages can be any language but I specialise in English and Croatian.
I can use ready-made templates or build from scratch according to your needs.
My smallest site is only one page and my biggest over 3200 pages.
You can have images, film, slideshows, even sound and music.
I can also arrange or advise on both registering your site name and hosting your site.
Through the short process you deal with just one person. Me.
How long will it take?
Not long, a few days to get the first page as you like it, then the rest falls into place. I am dedicated and take pride in my work, but I work speedily.
How much will this cost me then?
Not much. I have low set prices and don't add anything on for such things as image resizing or correction. After that, the site name registration (domain registration) will cost around £7 a year, more or less. Site hosting can be had for as little as £0.80 a month!
The technical bit
My sites are now made in HTML5 and CSS3, which are the current standards in web coding. Your site will look good in any modern browser.
