THIS INDENTURE made the (1) ........ Day of ..... in the year of our Lord ...., BETWEEN (2).....................................Church- Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of (Calverley with Farsley) and (3)......................... a poor child of the said (town/township/Riding) on the one part and (4).............of (5)........... on the other Part, WITNESSETH, That the said Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor HAVE, by and with the Consent, Allowance, and Approbation of two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said (Riding) put, placed, and bound the said (3)............................. as an apprentice to and with the said (4).................with h(im)to dwell and remain from the Day of the Date hereof, until the said Apprentice shall attain the Age of ( 21 for males, 21 or marriage for females ) according to the Form of the Statute in that Case made and provided. During all which said Term the said Apprentice h(is) said (Master) well and truly shall serve, (his) secrets shall keep, (his) Commands (being lawful and honest) at all Times willingly shall perform; and in all Things, As a good and faithful Servant, shall demean (him) self towards (his) said M(aster) and all (his) Family. And the said, (4)................... for h(im) self, h(is) Executors, Administrators and Assigns, doth Covenant, Promise, and agree to and with the said Church - Wardens, Overseers, and h(is) said Apprentice, that he will educate and bring h(im) up in some honest and lawful Calling, and in the Fear of God; and that he will find, provide for, and allow unto h(is) said Apprentice sufficient, wholesome, and competent Meat, Drink, Washing, Lodging, Apparel, and all other Necessaries meet for such an Apprentice, during the said Term. ** Provided always that the said last mentioned Covenant on the part of the said (4)..................h(is) Executors and Administrators to be done and performed shall continue and be in force for no longer time than for three Calendar Months next after the death of the said (4).................. in case the said (4)........................shall happen to die during the Continuance of such Apprenticeship, according to the Provisions of an Act passed in the thirty-second year of the reign of King George the Third intituled, an "An Act for the further Regulation of Parish Apprentices."** IN WITNESS whereof the said Parties to these Presents have hereunto in- terchangeably set their Hands and Seals the Day and Year first above - written.
